Terms of service.

Last updated · May 2, 2026

By installing or using X Sort, you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose. The summary: we provide the extension as-is, you use it lawfully, billing for Pro is handled by Polar.sh, and you can stop using it any time.

1. Who we are

"X Sort," "we," or "us" refers to the individual operator of the X Sort browser extension and the xsort.vercel.app website. Contact: hello@xsort.app.

X Sort is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp or Twitter. "X" and "Twitter" are trademarks of their respective owners.

2. The license you get

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use X Sort for personal or internal business research, subject to these Terms. The extension is software you run in your own browser; we don't take possession of any data you generate with it.

You may not:

3. Free and Pro plans

X Sort offers a Free plan (no credit card, scan up to 50 tweets per profile, sort by views or likes) and a Pro plan that unlocks unlimited scanning, repost sorting, median views, date-range filtering, outlier detection, CSV export, and full profile stats. The Pro plan currently costs $4.99/month or $29/year, and we may adjust this pricing for new subscribers from time to time. Existing subscribers will be notified before any change applies to their renewal.

4. Billing through Polar.sh

All Pro purchases are processed by Polar.sh, our Merchant of Record. Polar handles payment, taxes (where applicable), invoicing, and license-key issuance. Your billing relationship for the Pro plan is between you and Polar; their terms and privacy policy apply to that part.

Subscriptions auto-renew on the same cadence (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. You can cancel any time through Polar's customer portal — the link is in your purchase receipt email. Your access continues to the end of the paid period.

5. Refunds

If the extension doesn't work for you, email hello@xsort.app within 14 days of your initial Pro purchase and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. Beyond that window, we generally don't offer refunds for partial periods, but we'll review edge cases case-by-case.

6. Privacy

What data the extension touches and what it doesn't is documented in our Privacy Policy. The short version: tweet content stays in your browser, we don't sell data, we don't track which profiles you visit.

7. The site and the extension

X Sort depends on X.com's public DOM structure to read tweet data. X may change their interface at any time, which can break scanning until we ship a fix. We aim to ship updates promptly but don't guarantee continuous availability. Pro license periods are not paused or extended for transient outages of our software or X's site.

8. Disclaimers

X Sort is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure against all attacks, or that scanning will succeed against rate limits or CAPTCHAs imposed by X or third parties.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, X Sort and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or use, arising from your use of or inability to use the extension. In any case, our total liability for any claim related to X Sort is limited to the amount you paid to us (via Polar) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it from Chrome. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms — particularly Section 2 — or if continued operation becomes infeasible. We'll prorate any unused paid Pro time on request.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and post a note in the extension's release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If a dispute arises, we'll try in good faith to work it out by email first. If that fails, the dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

13. Contact

For anything related to these Terms, email hello@xsort.app. For privacy questions specifically, divykairoth@gmail.com also works.
